Pig years fall in 2007 in Series I, 2019 in Series II and 2031 in Series III. Both dates held here mark the end of a chapter: the 2007 Pig is the final animal of the original Series I cycle, and the 2019 Pig closes Series II.

That gives them a particular place in a set. A Series I collection is not complete without the 2007 Pig, and in MS 70 it is a scarce coin — Series I was struck before the program had the following it has now, so far fewer were submitted for grading than the mintage would suggest.
