Coins certified by NGC, the Numismatic Guaranty Company, and held in NGC's tamper-evident holder with a unique certification number that can be verified against NGC's own census.

Founded in 1987 and based in Sarasota, Florida, NGC is the official grading service of the American Numismatic Association and the stronger of the two majors in world coins — which is why a large share of Perth Mint, Casa de Moneda de México and China Mint material sits in NGC holders.

NGC uses the standard Sheldon scale for business strikes (MS 60–70) and PF for proofs, with Ultra Cameo as the top contrast designation. You will also find NGCX holders here — NGC's ten-point scale, where a 10 is equivalent to a traditional 70. Early Releases and First Day of Issue labels indicate coins submitted within NGC's defined window after release, which narrows the population but says nothing about condition.
